Basic dough recipe

Basic dough recipe

I love pizza. Besides mac and cheese, i find pizza to be the most comforting food ever. It's pretty easy to make. And my sims just love to waste their hard earned money to buy it. The fact you can pretty much chuck anything on top is just another reason why i love it so much.
I'm really keen to try banana, cinnamon, nuts etc. omg *drool*

Ingredients
3 1/2 cups of flour
a pinch of salt
1 tbsp oil
1 tbsp dry yeast
1 1/2 cups of warm water

What to do?!

sprinkle the yeast into the warm water and stir to dissolve. set aside until yeast starts to form bubbles.

sift flour into another bowl. make a well in the center.

pour in the yeast, oil and salt.

mix ingredients together.

sprinkle flour onto the work surface and place the dough onto it for kneading.

knead the flour into the mixture and until the mix is no longer sticking to your hands.

oil your bowl again and place mixture back into it.

cover the bowl with a teatowel until mixture doubles in size.

when the dough has double punch the air out.

place on a floured surface and split mixture into appropirate sizes.

roll into desired size/shape.

Beef Kofta with mint/parsley yoghurt and pita.

Right now I can smell raw meat. Idk why. Nothing is cooking and I am in my room :/
But if I was making this meal, I'm sure it would explain the meat smell!

INGREDIENTS

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 small (120g) brown onion, chopped finely
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 tablespoon ground coriander
¼ teaspoon ground chilli
½ cup (75g) pine nuts, toasted, chopped coarsely
750g beef mince (not too lean)
1 egg
pitta or other flatbread, for serving
small lemons, halved, for serving
green salad, for serving

mint yogurt
1 cup (280g) yogurt
¾ cup finely shredded fresh mint
2 teaspoons maple syrup
2 teaspoons lemon juice

What to do?!

Heat the oil in a small frying pan; cook onion and garlic over moderate heat until translucent, but not brown.

Combine the onion, spices, pine nuts, beef and egg in a large bowl; season with salt to taste. Knead the ingredients into the beef – it’s important to massage the meat quite vigorously until it’s sticky ( this is a bit messy, but fun). Thread small handfuls (about 1/3 cup) of beef mixture onto skewers.

Cook beef skewers on heated, oiled grill plate or barbecue until browned and just cooked through.

Mint yogurt
Combine all the ingredients in a small bowl.

Serve the beef skewers with pitta, lemon halves and a green salad.

I served with lemon drizzled over red onion and beans. Yummy.
